Giani Sartor was born in Conegliano in 1946. He reached artistic maturity in Venice and had his first solo exhibition in Pordenone in 1972.  Sartor works on different materials and imperfect canvasses using not only color but also text. He collaborates with the group “Il Convito Musicale” and the Museo del Paesaggio. The wonder that falls between complete and incomplete is his favorite line to follow. Mario Possamai, Luciano Caniato, Giuseppe Mazzariol, Giuseppe Barbieri, Salvatore Maugeri, Marta Mazza, Elisa Capitanio, Corrado Castellani, Stefano Pillon and Stefano Cecchetto have all written about him.
